Begonia erythrophylla 'Beefsteak'

Begonia erythrophylla, commonly called the Beefsteak Begonia, is a hybrid that was developed in 1845 Germany and is still produced to this day. The large, round, translucent leaves are dark olive green to bronze in color with bright green veining. The leaf undersides are a gorgeous red color.

Begonias grow best in well-draining, rich soil with moderate water. They prefer high humidity and indirect light.
